My research activities are focussed on the field of Consumer Health Informatics.
How do patients and consumers use the Internet? How do patients benefit
from medical web applications? How can we improve the medical web?

 How
do Consumers search for and appraise health information on the world wide
web?
The results of our studies have been published for example by the British
Medical Journal, followed by a couple of press reports across all major
German print media, such as the "FOCUS Magazin", one of Germany's
most important news magazines.
